Feeling of love when i prayed to god?

one time i was praying to god and i told him i loved him and i felt this unbelievable amount of love wrap around my soul. it was like i was sooooo happy! i had never felt this happy in my life it was like i was insanely high and i couldn't stop laughing. it was just this overwhelming feeling of ecstasy and joy. the problem is i don't really know who told me they loved me.... i'm not sure if it was God the father or Jesus... i'm really confused. and lately i feel like i've been sinning a lot so now i feel like i've left god/jesus completely and i'll never have the same relationship as before :(
